Received the product a few days ago and its truly impressive for the price. I have been using ratchet belts since 2012 and they cost about $60 these days (a bit pricy for a belt). Came across these belts and thought to give it a try. The buckle ratchet system works exactly as i expected and is great.
Just a side note: I had a slight issue with my purchase and they sent me a brand new belt as a replacement, with an expedited shipment. Very pleased.
With this belt, there should be no reason to think twice. Material is durable (I tried bending, twisting, everything I could to get the leather to crack and it didn't), and feels high quality.
The look is professional (I work in the finance industry, and feel very comfortable wearing this), and the buckle does not stick out too far (one of my initial concerns).
For the price this CANNOT be beat. The leather has that ever so slightly plastic look to it but is VERY durable.
The buckle mechanism is very sleek in appearance and extremely high quality. Just like anything if you don’t take care of it or ratchet WAY too tight repeatedly for months I could see how it could wear out in a year or so.
This company’s products are excellent. I’ve just purchased a second time, in two years. The ratchet belts, generally speaking, are an insanely good idea; making being ‘caught between two holes’ a thing of the past, due to tiny incremental adjustments. Traditional belts now make about as much sense, to me, as a manual gearbox and a clutch pedal.
